Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council receives presentations to help inform the update of the City’s Strategic Plan.
Summary Report:
The City of Northfield adopted its first Strategic Plan for 2018-2020. As that plan has reached the end of its planning timeframe, the City is in the process of updating the plan. In order to do this the City Council and Staff will receive several presentations to review data that will be relevant to updates.
The following will be the agenda for the evening:
1. Welcome and overview - Craig Rapp (Strategic Planning Consultant)
2. Presentation of Environmental Scan - Ben Martig
3. Presentation of Organization Profile - Ben Martig
4. Short break
5. Presentation of information collected from surveys with Community, Boards & Commission, and Staff as well as interviews and surveys with City Council - Craig Rapp
6. Next Steps - Craig Rapp
The presentations and information being shared are meant to be high level views to communicate data that is important for the next two retreat meetings for this planning effort. This session is not about finding solutions but rather receiving information. There will be time throughout the evening for clarifying questions around the data. This material is being shared two weeks before the first strategic planning retreat so that participants will have time to review and digest the information.
The environmental scan and organizational profile are being completed and will be distributed as supplemental.
