Title

Oddfellows Park Bathroom Upgrade Options

Body

Action Requested:

The Northfield Park and Recreation Advisory Board approves either option 1 or option 2 for the bathroom upgrade at Oddfellows Park.

Summary Report:

Attached are two renderings of options for the bathroom improvements at Oddfellows Park.  Option 1 is the individual men and women restrooms.  Option 2 is four unisex restrooms.  Both options include new plumbing fixtures, LED lights, interior wall covering, exterior doors, replacing concrete floors due to settlements/cracks, epoxy concrete floors, siding, soffits, fascia, new shingles and exterior concrete work.

$100,000 has been budgeted for this work.  Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, building material costs have increased significantly, it is anticipated that the project may come in over budget.  Therefore, staff is looking for PRAB to recommend the preferred design option and staff will seek pricing for the work.

If the costs come in over budget, staff will bring it to Council for budget amendment.  Staff may also consider completing some of the work in-house if necessary.

Financial Impacts:

Option 1 is $125,600 with alternates

Option 2 is $138,900 with alternates
