Title

Update on kiosk at Riverside/Lions Park

Body

Action Requested:

The Northfield Park and Recreation Advisory Board is updated on the donation of a kiosk at Riverside/Lions Park.

Summary Report:

Northfield Garden Club (NGC) proposed to have a 6-sided kiosk installed near the raised gardens at Riverside/Lions Park.  The Park Board approved the donation and installation at the December 2021 meeting.  The kiosk will display aerial pictures of the raised gardens along with information on pollinators. This will give the viewers an aerial view of the butterfly, dragonfly, and bee gardens.  Attached is a picture of the kiosk and information that will be displayed in the kiosk. Elizabeth Olson, NGC, will be attending the meeting and will give an update as well.

NGC is working on a grant from Northfield Shares to cover the cost of the kiosk.  NGC will cover the maintenance on the informational printings.

City staff will install the kiosk and work with NGC to get the informational material in the kiosk.
