Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council will receive a presentation on the Forest Bridgewater Sewer District and development activity along I-35 and in Bridgewater.
Summary Report:
Mayor Pownell invited Bridgewater Township Vice Chair Glen Castore to present on this project status. Charlie Peters, Forest Township Supervisor and Rice County P&Z Commissioner and Glen Castore, Bridgewater Vice Chair will present. There will be an opportunity for questions at the end.

Financial Impacts:
None to the City.
Rice County has been coordinating capital investment planning with the townships for this prospective development concept. A representative of the joint powers group had expressed some interest in municipal sewer connections for the project including Faribault, Lonsdale and Northfield. However, there is no active request for sewer connections to Northfield. City code expressly prohibits providing municipal services without annexing into the City of Northfield. As of a few weeks ago, there were also no active requests of Lonsdale or Faribault either.
