Action Requested:
City Clerk, Lynette Peterson, will administer the Oath or Affirmation of Office to Police Officers Nicole Malecha and Dominic Milne.

Summary Report:
Officers Nicole Malecha and Dominic Milne were hired in November to fill vacancies due to resignations for the position of Police Officer. We will be ceremoniously administering the Oath of Office to them as they assume their new role in the Police Department. This ceremony will be done in person in front of the City Council.

Police Chief Mark Elliott will introduce the Officers and City Clerk Lynette Peterson will administer the Oath of Office. Councilors are encourage to congratulate the Officers on their new role. Members of the police department and friends and family of the new officers are expected to be in attendance and will leave the Council Chambers immediately following this agenda item.

Officer Nicole Malecha is a proud graduate of the Northfield Public Schools and a graduate of Inver Hills Community College with an associate of science degree in law enforcement. She is also currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice Leadership through St. Mary's University. She is a past Community Service Officer for the Apple Valley Police Department and a past Park Ranger for the Dakota County Sheriff's Department.

Officer Dominic Milne is a graduate of Hastings High School, and a graduate of Rasmussen University with an associate of arts degree in law enforcement. He is a past Correctional Officer with the Dakota County Sheriff's Department and a past Police Officer for the Dundas Police Department.
