Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council approves Resolution Extension of Joint Resolution for Orderly Annexation by and Between Northfield Township and the City of Northfield.
Summary Report:
The City of Northfield and Northfield Township have an orderly annexation agreement scheduled to expire at the end of the year. Northfield Township has expressed an interest to negotiate a new orderly annexation agreement.
Attached is a proposed extension of the current agreement to continue for another year under the same terms and conditions.
The plan is for the current Council Committee of Pownell, Ness and Peterson-White who are serving on the Bridgewater negotiations would also be involved in 2022 for negotiations related to Northfield Township.
