Public Hearing for Liquor License for Flaherty's Arden Bowl, Inc. DBA Flaherty's Northfield Lanes - 1700 S. Highway 3.

Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council is being asked to hold a public hearing for On Sale Liquor License and Sunday Liquor License for Flaherty's Arden Bowl, Inc. DBA Flaherty's Northfield Lanes, located at 1700 S. Highway 3, Northfield.

Per the procedures included in the staff report, there will need to be a motion to close the public hearing at its conclusion.

Summary Report:
The City received a new liquor license application from Flaherty's Arden Bowl, Inc. on Monday, July 26, 2021. Since a new corporate ownership is in place for the premises, a public hearing is being held as outlined in City Code. Flaherty's Arden Bowl, Inc. dba Flaherty's Northfield Lanes has applied for an On Sale Liquor License and Sunday Liquor License. A liquor license background investigation was conducted by the police department, which includes a check of the corporation and the officers of the corporation. There was no information discovered of concern. Consideration of approval of the liquor license is scheduled following the public hearing.

Public hearing notices were mailed to property owners within 350' of 1700 S. Highway 3 on August 2, 2021. A copy of the public hearing notice (attachment 1) and map (attachment 2) are attached. The public hearing notice was also published in the Northfield News on Wednesday, August 4, 2021.
