The HRC receives updates from staff.
Summary Report:
• The Northfield Racial & Ethnic Equity Collaborative continues to meet monthly as either large group or work groups. Work groups are developing action items for the rest of 2021.
• A manager/supervisor training around Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will be held in September to build off the all-staff trainings done earlier in the year.
• Staff from the Library and The Northfield Arts Guild hosted the Pride in the Park event on June 5. Very well attended.
• City Council adopted a resolution of support for the CEDAW proposal at June 15 meeting.
• City Council adopted the Strategic Plan for 2021-2014 with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion continuing as one of six priority areas.
• For the August HRC meeting we will have an update from Representative Lippert on the past legislative session.
