The Northfield City Council approves the attached resolution proclaiming May 2-8, 2021 as National Travel and Tourism Week.
Summary Report:
The Northfield Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism asked for May 2 - 8, 2021 to be proclaimed as National Travel and Tourism Week in Northfield. The travel and tourism industry is vital to the City of Northfield and the State of Minnesota, contributing to our economic prosperity, employment, peace, understanding and good will. The hospitality industry in Rice County provides jobs for more than 2,300 individuals and yields more than $7.1 million in state sales taxes.
