Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council approves summary publication of Ordinance No. 1020 and 1021 amending the official zoning map of the City of Northfield to rezone PID 2231226001, Outlot A, in Sheldahl Industrial Park - Rice, from I1-B: Industrial to N2-B: Neighborhood General 2 and 1050 Highway 3 South, NW1/4 of the NW1/4 of Section 31, Township 112, Range 19, rezoned from N1-B: Neighborhood General 1 to N2-B: Neighborhood General 2.
Summary Report:
The Northfield City Council has completed the first and second readings of Ordinance No. 1020 and Ordinance No. 1021 regarding the rezoning request from the Community Action Center. City Charter Section 4.10 permits summary publication of ordinances.
Alternative Options:
The City Council could direct staff to publish the entire ordinance.
Financial Impacts:
The cost to publish the entire ordinance would be approximately four times more than the cost to publish the summary.
Tentative Timelines:
If approved, the summary is proposed to be published on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. The ordinances would then be effective on February 26, 2021.
