Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council approves summary publication of Ordinance No. 1019 amending the official zoning map of the City of Northfield to rezone several parcels from R1-B: Low Density Residential to CD-S: College Development.
Summary Report:
The Northfield City Council has completed the first and second readings of Ordinance No. 1019 regarding the rezoning request from St. Olaf College. City Charter Section 4.10 permits summary publication of ordinances.
Alternative Options:
The City Council could direct staff to publish the entire ordinance.
Financial Impacts:
The cost to publish the entire ordinance would be approximately four times more that the cost to publish the summary.
Tentative Timelines:
If approved, the summary is proposed to be published on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. The ordinance would then be effective on February 12, 2021.
