Consider the Rice County Comprehensive Plan - Economic Development Chapter

Action Requested:
The DRAFT Rice County Comprehensive Plan is now available for review and comment. The EDA and other corresponding Boards of the City are taking the opportunity to review the draft plan. Here is a link to the entire plan: <https://www.co.rice.mn.us/197/Comprehensive-Plan>
Staff requests that the EDA Board take the opportunity to review the attached Economic Development Chapter of the Rice County Comp Plan. In particular consider Goal #4, Strategy #3, Action Item #4, and any potential impacts to Northfield.
If the EDA would like any specific comments regarding the Plan considered as part of official comments from the City, those should be noted and transmitted to the Community Development Director. Any official correspondence from the City will be coordinated through the City Administrators office.
