Summary Report:
The City Council is being asked to approve the appointments as noted above. Additional appointments will be recommended in a supplemental memo next week as well as at an upcoming meeting. Copies of the proposed appointees’ applications are attached. The City received 55 applications from many highly qualified individuals for 38 board/commission openings.
As part of the process, I met with available applicants for approximately 30 minutes each over the course of 12 days. These meetings provided me with a chance to get to know new applicants as well as provided a check-in time for those that I already know or that were re-applying for a position.
Please note that Mike Meehan is currently serving on the HPC in a vacated term that expires on December 31, 2020. He is being appointed to a full term expiring December 31, 2022.
