Summary Report:
Staff is continuing to put together information for the budget worksession next week and will be providing it supplemental. Some information will be distributed at the end of the workday but was not available to put with the public posting of information.
See attached health insurance renewal information. The Council Employment Policy Commission met recently to receive the presentation and have discussions with the Employee Benefits Committee (a group of volunteer staff representing different departments and labor union groups). The Employee Benefits Committee expressed support to explore a change to Blue Cross Blue Shield. A health insurer change will require approval from all of the labor union groups. City Administrator Martig will be discussing potential cost impacts at the meeting related to insurance and have some related policy considerations for Council.
