SUMMARY AND ACTION REQUESTED:
The Housing & Redevelopment Authority (HRA) to review and provide feedback for proposed definitions, application of terms and data tracking.
BACKGROUND:
The City Council adopted a strategic plan for the City in 2017 that includes a range of community priorities, including some related to housing. Existing language and metrics in the Plan would benefit from modifications to clarify terms and objectives. In order to improve clarity in the Strategic Plan and better define objectives, several items related to housing will be further guided by applying defined terms and notations as outlined below. As staff administers programs, tracks data, and prepares reports for Council updates, all parties will benefit from a deeper understanding of what activities, actions and investments are intended for inclusion in the initiatives.
