Title
The Planning Commission receives and update on the Climate Action Plan.

Action Requested:
As the Climate Action Plan (CAP) is being developed, the Climate Action Plan Advisory Board (CAPAB) is presenting information and having discussions with other City Boards and Commissions as appropriate to keep them up to speed and determine any questions or concerns.
Summary Report:
The City of Northfield has contracted with Great Plains Institute to assist the CAPAB in developing a Climate Action Plan. This plan is intended to guide the efforts of the City internally with the buildings, facilities and services we provide as well as the wider community. A portion of the CAP will involve land use and planning issues going forward. The draft CAP will be available for public comment in early September and the CAPAB asks that Planning Commission members review the draft at that time.

The goal of the Climate Action Plan Advisory Board is to have the Climate Action Plan presented to City Council on October 15, 2019 with approval on November 5, 2019.
