TITLE
Consider Summary Publication of Ordinance No. 1007 amending the official zoning map of Northfield.
BODY
Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council approves summary publication of Ordinance No. 1007 amending the official zoning map of the City of Northfield to rezone a parcel from C2 Highway Commercial to I1 Industrial.
Summary Report:
The Northfield City Council has completed the first and second readings of Ordinance No. 1007 regarding rezoning of 2280 Cannon Road. City Charter Section 4.10 permits summary publication of ordinances.
Alternative Options:
The City Council could direct staff to publish the entire ordinance.
Financial Impacts:
The cost to publish the entire ordinance would be more than the cost to publish the summary.
Tentative Timelines:
If approved, the summary is proposed to be published on Wednesday, August 14, 2019. The ordinance would then be effective on September 13, 2019.
