TITLE

Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council approves summary publication of Ordinance No. 1006 Amending Chapter 34 of the Northfield City Code, Land Development Regulations, Regarding Signs in the Downtown Historic District.
Summary Report:
The Northfield City Council has completed the first and second readings of Ordinance No. 1006 regarding signs in the downtown historic district. City Charter Section 4.10 permits summary publication of ordinances.
Alternative Options:
The City Council could direct staff to publish the entire ordinance.
Financial Impacts:
The cost to publish the entire ordinance would be approximately 4 times more that the cost to publish the summary.
Tentative Timelines:
If approved, the summary is proposed to be published on Wednesday, July 31, 2019. The ordinance would then be effective on August 30, 2019.
