Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council Consider a Motion approving the attached Agreement Between City of Northfield and Independent School District No. 659 Relating to City of Northfield/Community Services Recreation Program.

Summary Report:
The Northfield City Council is being asked to consider approval of a three-year agreement with the Northfield School District for the Community Services Recreation Program. The current agreement expires on June 30, 2019. The contract is very similar to the 2013-2016 and the 2017-2019 agreement (shown with redline changes to this contract) with the exception of the increases in the compensation, in-kind match and minor clarifications.

Erin Bailey, Community Services Director for Northfield Public Schools has submitted related information regarding the Community Recreation Program on the attachment. The School District is requesting a three-year agreement to provide continuity and enable them to adequately plan for community recreation programs. This is consistent with the last agreement.

* The City shall make payments to the School District one-half on December 31 and one-half on June 30, each payment to apply to the preceding six-month period.

* The City's payment for the cost of the Program for the fiscal years 2019-2021 is based on the personnel costs (salary and benefits) related to the Program, including 100% of the time of the School District's Recreation Coordinator, 82% of the time of a registration/facility scheduling secretary, 25% of the time of an administrative assistant, and 5% of the time of the Community Services Department Director.
