Modification of Sanitary Sewer Easement on Edward Teske Trust (Florellas)

Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council considers a Motion to approve modification of sewer and water easement with Edward E. Teske Trust.
Summary Report:
In 1960, the City acquired an easement for underground sewer and water with Edward E. Teske (Rice County Document No. 182443). The property is known as Florellas and the location is shown in Attachment 1. The property is currently in the process of the changing owners. As part of the ownership changes, it was discovered that there is an error in the easement description for the City’s public sewer causing the sewer to exist outside of the easement.
The City and owner want to correct this with a modification of the easement (Attachment 2). This modification will amend the easement and the easement will now be located over the sanitary sewer line.

Staff is recommending the modification to correct this error.
