The Northfield City Council approves the following motion:
Regarding the pending appeal of the Dakota County District Court’s order and judgment dismissing Waterford Township’s lawsuit to enforce the 1980 Joint Resolution for Orderly Annexation between the City and Waterford Township. In order to avoid both parties incurring additional legal fees, a motion is made directing the City’s Attorney to communicate a settlement offer to Waterford Township’s Attorney pursuant to which the City would pay the Township approximately $47,000 in exchange for the Township’s dismissal of the appeal.
