Staff recommends a motion to approve members of a planning committee.
Summary Report:
See attached memo and attached minutes from the February Human Rights Commission (HRC) meeting related to Indigenous Peoples Day.
HRC members can discuss any thoughts or actions from the last meeting on the topic.
The meeting included the idea of establishing a committee of institutional reps from Olaf, Carleton, School District, City, and the Historical Society to plan for a coordinated community event and communications. Staff suggests assigning HRC members to serve as representatives of the HRC and to give updates or recommendations back to the full HRC as deemed appropriate.
HRC members may volunteer at the meeting and recommend appointment by motion.
