SUMMARY AND ACTION REQUESTED:
The Housing & Redevelopment Committee (HRA) to hear Emergency Housing Partnership Update from Executive Director Scott Wopata, Northfield Community Action Agency (CAC).
BACKGROUND:
The HRA has partnered with the CAC to provide homeless transitional housing since March, 2017. The HRA leases a two-unit dwelling to the CAC at a reduced rental rate in support the program.
ANALYSIS:
The partnership between the CAC and the HRA has been beneficial to both parties. As part of the rent, the HRA provides utilities, mowing and snow removal. The rents paid by the CAC covers most expenses paid by the HRA.
RECOMMENDATION:
No recommendations at this time.
