Action Requested:
The Northfield Environmental Quality Commission to discuss a proposed amendment to the Environmental Quality Commission’s Bylaws.
Summary Report:
EQC members are to review the attached proposed amendment bylaws. The proposed bylaws were mailed to each voting member on March 7, 2019 as required by the current bylaws. For the proposed amendment to be approved, two thirds of all voting members must vote in favor of the amendment.
The items being proposed to be amended are:
- Notice to members for bylaw amendments to allow postal mail or electronic instead of only mail.
- Addition of any member may demand a vote be postposed until the next regular meeting. Such demands may be overridden by a vote of two-thirds of members present.
