The Northfield City Council consider approval of a Resolution Approving Labor Agreement and Memorandums of Understanding between the City of Northfield and Law Enforcement Labor Services, Inc. (Police Patrol Unit).
Summary Report:
Labor Attorney Fitzsimmons and Communications & Human Resources Director Mahowald met with LELS Police Patrol Unit Union Stewards at City Hall on Friday, February 8, 2019 to discuss the City’s proposal. LELS Police Patrol Unit employees voted to approve the contract on Monday, February 11, 2019.
Financial Impacts:
The proposed labor agreement and memorandums of understanding economic impacts are within the budget guidelines for 2019 and 2020.
Tentative Timelines:
Wages will take effect in 2019 and 2020, subject to the beginning of the new wages aligning with payroll periods.
