Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council approves reimbursement of costs for lodging, transportation and miscellaneous expenses for Mayor Pownell to attend the MN Mayors Together Meeting in Owatonna March 7 & 8, 2019 in the estimated amount of $150.
Summary Report:
The City Council is being asked to approve reimbursement costs for attendance at the MN Mayors Together Meeting in Owatonna March 7 & 8, 2019. The meeting purpose is to continue conversations among Minnesota Mayors to establish trusted relationships, confidence and vision for the State of Minnesota. The meetings are held regionally. The meeting includes a social, dinner and facilitated discussion on Friday.
City Council Motion M2012-022, adopted on February 6, 2012, requires that all City Council expenditures in excess of $500 in a calendar year are to be brought to the Council for approval. Expenditures and encumbered funds to-date are $2,639.00.
Financial Impacts:
The estimated conference expenses are $150. The Mayor/Council conference, travel & training budget has funds to cover the above costs as noted below:
