Discussion on Human Rights Award process.

Action Requested:
Discuss how the HRC chooses people and organizations for the Human Rights Award.
Summary Report:
The Human Rights Commission had suggested a discussion on potential changes following the special meeting in January. One issue in particular related to situations where either no nominations are received or nominees decline an award.
Staff welcomes some discussion of the item. The Commission could suggest ways to deal with this, schedule a future discussion or have a subcommittee be assigned to work on potential amendments.
