Housing & Redevelopment Authority Meeting Date, December 2018

SUMMARY AND ACTION REQUESTED:
The Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) to review and reschedule December 25, 2018 meeting date.
BACKGROUND:
In February, 2018 the HRA changed their regular meeting date from the 2nd Thursday of each month at 5:00 pm to the 4th Tuesday of each month at 4:00 pm. The HRA began meeting at the new scheduled day and time on April 24, 2018.
ANALYSIS:
The 4th Tuesday in December, 2018 falls on the 25th, which is a national holiday. Government offices will be closed.
It is important the HRA meet in December to discuss and decide the allocation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for the 2019-2020 fiscal year. An adopted resolution must accompany the CDBG application. The application for 2019-2020 fiscal year funds is due before the regularly scheduled January HRA meeting.
OPTIONS:
The HRA may move their December Meeting up one week to December 18, 2018 at 4:00 PM. The Council Chamber is available for this date and time.
The HRA may also select another date/time for their December meeting.
RECOMMENDATION:
The HRA should consider moving the regular meeting scheduled for December 25, 2018 to December 18, 2018 at 4:00 pm.
