Consider Mayoral Appointments to the Northfield Transportation Advisory Committee.

Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council approves Mayoral Appointment to the Northfield Transportation Advisory Committee as follows:
• Names to be provided with supplemental memo.
Summary Report:
Mayor Pownell is currently finalizing the appointments to the Northfield Transportation Advisory Committee and will be including as a supplemental memo.
At the October 16, 2018 Council meeting, the Northfield City Council approved a motion to approve the scope, project and focus area for the Northfield Transportation Advisory Committee to include the following:
• Highway 246 Turnback (including additional review of improvements to the road including, but not limited to, a pedestrian underpass or overpass crossing for Jefferson Parkway)
• Transit (intra-City and inter-city)
• Transit Hub
• Highway 19 corridor related initiatives.
The City has a number of transportation related policy issues that are currently either active or potentially coming to discussion. The City Council approved the original resolution creating the committee at the September 18, 2018 Council meeting and is attached as a reference.
