Summary Report:
The City approved a revision to it’s Right-of-Way Management Ordinance to align with new state legislation related to small cell wireless facilities in the City Right-of-Way on October 2, 2018. Staff has been reviewing other guidelines around the Country related to small cell wireless facilities, and will be sharing thoughts and considerations as it relates to what the City will be looking for with these requested installations.
For example, if a small cell facility is proposed on a City owned light pole, staff can have a drawing detail of what they would like that attachment to look like.
Staff will be sending out a supplemental memo next Tuesday with some of this information.
