Action Requested:
Staff requests the planning commission listen to an update on the Climate Action Plan process from members of the Climate Action Plan Advisory Board.
The advisory board was created by City Council to lead and engage the Northfield area community in responding strategically, rapidly and responsibly to a changing climate by developing a Climate Action Plan. This follows the Northfield City Council's Strategic Plan adopted priorities to create a "community that's resilient and sustainable." The desired outcomes under this priority include a climate action plan offering a clear vision for climate action and reduced net carbon emissions for the City.
