Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council approves publication of a summary of Ordinance No. 998.
Summary Report:
The Northfield City Council has approved the first and second readings of Ordinance No. 998. City Charter Section 4.10 permits summary publication of ordinances. The complete text of Ordinance No. 998 may be obtained (at no charge) at City Hall or on the City’s website.
Alternative Options:
The City Council could direct staff to publish the entire ordinance.
Financial Impacts:
The cost to publish the entire ordinance would be higher than the cost to publish the summary.
Tentative Timelines:
If approved, the summary will be published on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. The ordinance would be effective on November 10, 2018.
