Consider Resolution Establishing Northfield Transportation Advisory Committee.

Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council considers approving the attached Resolution Establishing a Northfield Transportation Advisory Committee.
Summary Report:
The City has a number of transportation related policy issues that are currently either active or potentially coming to discussion. Therefore, it is advised to consider creating a committee to assist in reviewing these issues. The City Council discussed this item at their September 4, 2018 City Council meeting. Due to workloads and other priorities, the Mayor and City Administrator recommend establishing the committee at this time with future Council discussion and approval to define the scope, project and focus areas of the committee. Some of the suggested items for future discussion include: Highway #246 turn back, transit related strategic plan goals and Highway #19 corridor related initiatives. Appointments to the committee will also be either brought forward at a future date.

The City Council could wait to create the committee.
