The Northfield Park and Recreation Advisory Board hears a presentation from River Valleys Girl Scout Troop 25258 on the rehabilitation work they did on the volleyball court at Memorial Park.
Summary Report:
Moriah Bamonte-Grebis, India Bamonte-Grebis, Kaelyn Hoernke, Elena Mikula volunteered their time to clean up the volleyball court at Memorial Park. They received the Girl Scout Silver Award for this project.
The girls pulled weeds from the sand, edged the wood timbers along the court, poured a concrete pad for a bench and leveled off the new sand. City staff removed the old sand and replaced the court with new sand. The new court is now weed free and useable.
