Summary Report:

The Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities (CGMC) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy organization that represents cities outside of the Twin Cities metropolitan area.  Its five core advocacy areas are Local Government Aid/property tax relief, economic development, transportation, environment & energy and annexation.

 

Councilors Ness and Nakasian attended the Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities Conference in Mankato on July 26th.  They requested that the CGMC have an opportunity to present information on their organization and provide membership information to the City Council.

 

Bradley Peterson, Executive Director of the CGMC will be at the meeting to go through the attached presentation and be available for questions or comments.

Financial Impacts:                     

City of Northfield Membership dues if interested in joining:

2019 = $10,209 (25% of full dues which for 2019 would be $40,836)

2020 = 50% of full dues

2021 = 75% of full dues

2022 = 100% of full dues
