The Northfield City Council will receive an update from Minnesota Towards Zero Deaths (TZD) and Rice County Safe Roads Coalition regarding the TZD Grant and Activities.
Summary Report:
The Northfield Police Department is an active member of the Rice County Safe Roads Coalition and also takes part in the Rice County Towards Zero Deaths (TZD) grant each year. Members of the Minnesota TZD Southeast Region and Safe Roads Coalition will provide an update regarding local traffic trends as well as education and enforcement efforts.
Northfield has received the following TZD reimbursements for officer overtime since 2016:
2016 TZD Grant period $15,751
2017 TZD Grant period $8,358
2018 TZD Grant period to date $6,954
