Consider Service Contract for Age Friendly Northfield

Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council approves a Motion Approving the attached Service Contract for the Age Friendly Northfield Initiative.
Summary Report:
Northfield City Council approved a motion at the June 5, 2018 meeting to approve $5,000.00 for the Age Friendly Community and development of a service contract. City Attorney Hood has completed a draft of the service contract with provisions for staff to complete some sections related to legal names and services to be provided. Staff will provide the updated Resolution and contract as a supplemental memo.

Please see attached letter from the Age Friendly Community representatives. Staff has consulted City Attorney Hood who has recommended a simple service agreement format for considering a funding request.
The Age Friendly Community Action Plan is consistent with the City Strategic Initiative to “Develop Equitable Service Access Strategy” under the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategic outcome.

Financial Impacts:
• $5,000 funding to be expensed from the Mayor and Council budget.
