Action Requested:
The Northfield Park and Recreation Advisory Board requests City Council consider approval of projects to be included in the 2019 budget.
Summary Report:
The following projects will be recommended to City Council for inclusion in the 2019 Park budget.
1. River access and turnaround area built at Riverside Park. This project would be part of the strategic plan on riverfront enhancements. A concept plan is attached for reference. the plans and for this enhancement. The estimated cost of this project is $50,000.
2. Friends of Way Park presented to the Board on building a paver patio at Way Park. Staff has sought bids on the paver patio and is still waiting to receive the bids. Friends of Way Park indicated they would donate money for most of the costs and would like the City to contribute as well. The City would contribute up to $7,500 towards the paver patio project.
3. Concept planning for parks along the river corridor estimated at $20,000.
Financial Impacts:
$77,500 would come from the Capital Park Fund to cover these two projects.
