The Northfield Park and Recreation Advisory Board discusses the role of the Park and Recreation Advisory Board.
Summary Report:
A Board member has asked to discuss the role of the PRAB. PRAB works in an advisory capacity for city council regarding the public parks system and all public recreational facilities and programs. The board also assists in long range planning for land acquisition for parks, as well as detailed plans for park development and use.
The Chair facilitates the meetings to engage board members to discuss the items before them. Board members may put items on the meeting agenda by contacting the staff liaison. Attached are the by-laws and City Code for the Park and Recreation Advisory Board.
