Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council approves On-sale Intoxicating and Sunday Liquor Licenses for Kyoko Properties LLC dba Armory Square Event Center located at 519 Division Street S., Northfield subject to:
* Department of Public Safety Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement Approval
* Submittal of all final documents
* Final inspection of premises and approval of outdoor enclosures
Summary Report:
Kyoko Properties LLC dba Armory Square Event Center has applied for On-sale Intoxicating and Sunday Liquor Licenses for 519 Division Str. S, Northfield. The proposed area to be licensed includes the main and lower levels of the building as well as the outdoor space as noted on the attached site plan (attachment 1). The license/licensed premises is a separate and distinct license and premise from Imminent Brewing. The application for liquor license has been checked for compliance, which covers the provisions of Minnesota State law and City Code. Staff is meeting with the licensee on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 to conduct a walk-through of the facility, discuss enclosures and other liquor license related details. Staff recommends approval of the licenses with the conditions noted above. A public hearing was held on this license application.
Upon approval and issuance of this license, there will be 35 liquor licenses issued in the City of Northfield in the following categories:
* 1 - Club license
* 16 - On-Sale Intoxicating licenses
* 10 - On-Sale Wine/3.2 licenses
* 5 - Off-sale 3.2 licenses
* 1 - Cocktail Room license
* 2 - Taproom licenses
