Consider Resolution Calling for Assessment Hearing for 2018 Division Street and Seventh Street Reconstruction and Washington Street Mill and Overlay and Various City Parking Lots.

Action Requested:
City Council considers approving the attached Resolution calling for an assessment hearing for the 2018 Division Street and Seventh Street Reconstruction and Washington Street Mill and Overlay and Various City Parking Lots (STRT2018-A37).

Note: This is the second of two actions related to the assessment hearing. The first item is a resolution that will declare the amount to be assessed.

Summary Report:
City Council adopted Resolution 2018-031, Declaring the Amount to be Assessed at the March 20, 2018 City Council Meeting in the amount of $434,465. City Council also adopted Resolution 2018-032 which set the Assessment Hearing on April 17, 2018. Prior to sending out the Assessment Hearing notice, Staff discovered a calculation error on the spreadsheet utilized to calculate the amount to be assessed regarding the Multi-family mill and overlay rate being applied to the Commercial properties on the Washington Street Mill and Overlay portion of the job. With the correction of this error, the new amount to be assessed is $447,865, and the assessment hearing is now being proposed on May 1, 2018. The adoption of these new Resolutions at the April 3, 2018 City Council Meeting will rescind both Resolutions 2018-031 and 2018-032 with the correct amount to be assessed and set a new assessment hearing.
