EDA Board Spring Retreat Discussion

SUMMARY AND ACTION REQUESTED:
EDA Board shall provide staff with dates and times available for a Spring Retreat in April or May and decide on relevant topics to discuss.
BACKGROUND:
When adopting the 2018 Meeting Schedule for the EDA Board, members agreed that a retreat should take place in the spring. The EDA last held a retreat on March 9, 2015 at the Carleton Weitz Center. During that Retreat, the EDA discussed the following topics:
• Mission and Goals of the EDA
• Review of Project Initiatives
• Review of EDA Enabling Resolution
• NEC Annual Report
ANALYSIS:
In order to coordinate a Spring Retreat, the EDA should define a date and time for the retreat. General topics should be defined as well so that staff can prepare supplementary information.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that a date and time be proposed by the EDA for a Spring Retreat and that general topics are defined for discussion.
