SUMMARY AND ACTION REQUESTED:
The Housing & Redevelopment Authority (HRA) is asked to review the revised meeting schedule for 2018.
BACKGROUND:
At the January 11, 2018 meeting, the HRA changed its regular meeting date from 5:00 pm on the 2nd Thursday of each month to the 4th Tuesday of each month at 4:00 pm. The new meeting time will begin in April, 2018. The actual meeting dates are published for the public as required by Minnesota State Statute.
The attached Future HRA Meeting Schedule provides a list of anticipated agenda items for HRA tasks which occur on an annual basis. The specific agenda items are subject to change based and does not include additional tasks, which may arise during the year.
ANALYSIS:
According to the new HRA meeting schedule, the December HRA meeting is December 25, a national holiday. The December meeting is very important for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application process and should not be cancelled. However, it could be rescheduled. Council Chambers are available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, December 17, 18, 19 & 20 at either 4:00 pm or 5:00 pm for the HRA meeting.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the HRA select a new date and time (December 17, 18, 19, or 20) for the December HRA meeting.
