The Northfield Environmental Quality Commission receives an update on the Community Solar
Summary Report:
The City Council approved a community solar subscription in August. The solar garden is located near Waseca and construction is approximately 50% complete. Once the garden is completely constructed and connected to Xcel Energy’s grid, the City will begin to receiving monthly savings.
If the City is to consider future solar energy for City infrastructure, the Climate Action Plan will need to have solar energy identified within the plan.
