Action Requested:
Northfield City Council makes a motion to approve Resolution Approving Proposed Design of Northfield Area Fire & Rescue Site Improvements and Building Exterior Design.
Summary Report:
The construction design of the Northfield Fire & Rescue Area Services continues moving forward. The Architect has indicated that they are at a critical phase to need formal direction on final construction site and building design for the project. The Council is being asked to take formal action on design. Please see attached design presentation that City Administrator Martig will be providing at the meeting.
A Resolution including full exhibits of recommended design is being prepared for review and action at the meeting. The item will be provided as a supplemental item to the memo to the City Council.
Alternative Options:
Consider alternative material with steel panels for building exterior.
Consider other amendments to site plan.
Financial Impacts:
Cost estimating is still underway with the project with plans to present coming in mid-October.
Tentative Timelines:
Updated project schedule will be included in the supplemental memo.
