The Environmental Quality Commission is presented on a project development by Kent Wolf of Ameresco.
Summary Report:
Kent Wolf of Ameresco will be presenting an opportunity for a project development for the City of Northfield with Ameresco. The project development is for an energy savings performance contract. In the presentation they have identified preliminary findings and City assets that Ameresco has determined would be cost beneficial to upgrade based upon energy savings.
Currently, City staff is not on board with the identified projects because many of the projects that have been identified in the City’s Capital Improvement Plan and will be addressed in the coming years. However, staff would work with Ameresco on a different scope of projects.
Staff is requesting that the EQC provide a motion for City staff to pursue working in one of the following manners:
- Continue working with Ameresco while developing a new scope of projects.
- Request proposals from multiple contractors.
