Climate Action Plan Beginning Steps

The Environmental Quality Commission discusses the beginning steps of the climate action plan.
Summary Report:
Currently, City staff is developing a Climate Action Plan process review team. The team that will be put together will determine what it will take to prepare a CAP specifically financially, staff time, if a consultant is needed, items to be addressed within the CAP and other logistically items. This team would consist of City staff as well as individuals with extensive knowledge in the development of a CAP.
The Greater Northfield Sustainability Collaborative provided the attached list of proposed candidates to participate on a Climate Action Plan (CAP) advisory group. Within this list of candidates, there may be individuals that would assist staff in the beginning stages of development to determine what it will take to put together the CAP. Once the development process for the CAP is underway, another group of advisors may be developed for CAP oversight to advise the EQC and could consist of the individuals provided within the attached list.
