Action Requested:                     

Staff recommends a motion Approving Strategic Plan (2018-2020) and Authorizing Staff Initiating the Action Plan Implementation.

 

Summary Report:

Attached is the Strategic Plan Summary (2018-2020) that was adopted at the August 8, 2017 Council meeting.  Subsequently, consultant Craig Rapp has been preparing the final document that will include a detail of the process including civic engagement, Strategic Plan Summary (2018-2020), preliminary vision and mission statements, and some additional supporting information on implementation of the action plans and other relevant information.  This information is intended to be available Tuesday morning and will be provided to the City Council at that time.

 

Additionally, staff has been compiling updated action plans in consultation with other relevant boards and commissions.   The initial action plans will be included with the Rapp document on Tuesday in a supplemental memo.

Not recommended.

 

Financial Impacts:                     

None.

 

Tentative Timelines:                     

Staff will begin implementation of the action plans, including further development after council action.  Details of implementation thereafter would be scheduled for updates to the City Council.
