Economic Development Partners Meeting

SUMMARY:
The Northfield Economic Development Partners include staff members from the EDA, Northfield Enterprise Center, Northfield Downtown Development Corporation, Chamber of Commerce, and the Convention and Visitor’s Bureau (CVB). The Economic Partners meet on a quarterly basis to discuss current projects and ongoing initiatives. The top priorities include collaboration and communication on ongoing projects as well as new and upcoming community and economic development opportunities.
The most recent meeting took place on July 25, 2017. A copy of the meeting minutes are attached for your review. The most significant topic of discussion at the July meeting was the potential co-location of office space for the Economic Development Partners.
The Chamber is exploring a potential relocation, and the Economic Development Partners discussed the possibility of co-location between the CVB, NEC, and NDDC. Each of the partners are in the process of holding conversations at the Board level to consider how this partnership between the organizations might look.
