The Northfield City Council is being asked to hold a public hearing for On-sale Wine and 3.2% Liquor Licenses for The Reunion, LLC located at 314 Division Str. S, Northfield.
Summary Report:
The Reunion, LLC dba The Reunion, has applied for On-sale Wine and 3.2 % Liquor Licenses for 314 Division Str. S, Northfield. Staff will be meeting with the applicant in late July to review the premises and related liquor license requirements. Consideration of approval of the liquor licenses is scheduled for August 8, 2017. The applicant anticipates opening in late September.
On-sale 3.2 percent malt liquor licenses shall be granted only to drugstores, clubs, restaurants, hotels, and bowling centers, and shall permit the sale of 3.2 percent malt liquor for consumption on the licensed premises only. An on-sale wine license may be issued by the City with the approval of the commissioner of public safety to a restaurant having facilities for seating at least 30 guests at one time. A wine license permits the sale of wine of up to 24 percent alcohol by volume for consumption. A wine license authorizes the sale of wine on all days of the week including Sundays. A holder of an on-sale wine license issued pursuant to this chapter who is also licensed to sell 3.2 percent malt liquor at on-sale pursuant to Minn. Stat. ? 340A.411, is also authorized to sell intoxicating malt liquors at on-sale without an additional license.
Public hearing notices were mailed to property owners within 350' of 314 Division Str., S. A copy of the public hearing notice and map are attached (attachment 2 & 3). The public hearing notice was also published in the Northfield News on Wednesday, July 5, 2017.
